ABOUT ABR

Association Profile

The Association of Battery Recyclers (ABR) is a non-profit trade association, incorporated in Washington, D.C. in May, 1984. The ABR strives to keep its members up-to-date on environmental and health matters and also provides a means for communication with government officials on issues affecting the lead recycling industry. The ABR meets twice each year, usually in the spring and the fall.

Association members consist of recyclers of lead-acid batteries and their components, battery and component manufacturers, as well as the environmental consulting services that are an integral part of the lead recycling industry. Members continue to search for new and innovative ways to renew the resources utilized in the battery industry and to provide valued products and services to the lead industry. At the same time, ABR members continue to protect the environment through the use of cutting-edge technologies.
